2016 is here!

Welcome to a new creative and exciting new year. The past few months I have been inspired by lots of journal pages and lots of mixed media. I love the freedom and creativity. Nothing is right or wrong. Expression just flows and it's liberating to just let go. Today I'm sharing a journal page that needs a photo.

There is a really long list of Kaszazz products used here. All of the products used represent "me". Words, music, glasses,  bright colours, cups of tea and coffee.

The journal is the only non Kaszazz product and I'm not going to make excuses for using it. It is my fav non Kaszazz product at the moment. Not too sure I can live with out it. I've sent Kaszazz as email about the journal. So fingers crossed.

Well I made it back. I have a few things to share while I'm here. Firstly, I couldn't help but create some more cards based on Deconstructing Jen's sketches. And surprisingly I also stayed with the same papers as the previous card.  I really found this colour palette lovely to work with.

Thought I'd also share a project that was recently published by Kaszazz. I had lots and lots of fun creating these cards. These beautiful lady stamps reminded me of sepia vintage photos and I just found not resist colouring them in to give that look, using the alcohol ink art markers.

Here'sanother project, I have recently had published. Such a different contrast to the above cards. These lovely stamps have a more modern feel. I have coloured using Kaszazz's recently released watercolour pencils. These pencils are a complete joy to colour with. They have a really soft creamy feel. Amazing on watercolour paper. Only a small amount of colour is needed, as when blended with water, the pigment goes a long way.

Well I will be back soon with more to share. Stay creative everyone xx

Dylusions

I could not resist playing this morning, instead of cleaning my table up. The new dylusions were calling to me. Pomegranate is a gorgeous colour. And I could not resist using it on this page. I must say I did get a little excited and the dylusions ended up across the table, over the mat, my fingers and anything else that was in the way. I have some lovely pinky, red and black coloured fingers at the moment :)

DS148

Wow, time has moved extremely quickly since I last posted on here.  Sorry to all those that have been waiting patiently to see if I was still in the land of the creatively living.  Family life and other commitments are chewing away nicely at the time I would normally have to create.  The great news is I have not given up.  I am just trying to manage time to still get messy and creative.  As most of us creative people know, creativity is a great way to zone out, recharge and find oneself.  For these reasons, I know I will not be packing up the craft supplies anytime soon.

In the meantime, I have had several projects published by Kaszazz.  And even won a few creative competitions.  Much to my surprise.  I will share some of these creations shortly.

As for now, I am going to post a card.  For a few years I have been following a Sketch blog http://deconstructingjen.com

Until today, I have not really had a chance to play along.  All of the products used on the card are Kaszazz products.  The buttons are retired.  Kaszazz, have had some amazing product releases since I last posted.  If you would like to catch up on all the wonderful new products, you can check them out here http://www.kaszazz.com/KaszazzProducts/BrowseourCatalogue.aspx

Hoping it will not take me so long to pop back in to say hi.
Have fun creating

Here is another set of cards, using the newly released markers and Hanna, Jesse and Gabby.  Gabby is my fav (the blue card).  Such a joy to colour these images and what a great way to practice different techniques.  The papers, used here are from the Carpe Diem, set.

Flower Cards, using the AIAM

Here, are the cards, made with the images posted in the previous post.  So, simple and effective.  I will have another set of cards to post soon.

Colouring in with Kaszazz Alcohol Ink Markers

I cannot seem to colour in enough images. These new markers are a complete joy to colour with. The colour flows beautifully and even a beginner to these markers enjoys the blending ability.

Last night I needed to chill out and relax (with a glass if wine or two). So, I zoned out with my markers and some of our flower stamps. This was the end result.

I finished off the night, by turning these into cards. I will be back later to show you how they turned out.

Have fun creating!!!!

Mixed media/medium

This fortnights challenge, was a challenge.  I needed to step outside of my comfort zone and just be brave to play with as many products as possible.  I filled my table with lots of colourfully wonderful products and just took a deep breath and jumped right in.  Perfect pearls, smooch spritz, distress inks, the new markers, glue and seal Matte, and aquacolor crayons were all used in this project.  Along with double sided papers, and chipboard.

I am not normally a patient person.  I am not a fan of waiting for things to dry.  When I am in the creative zone I like to keep the flow going.  I had to learn to stand back and wait.  Remind myself not to touch and just let the products dry.

Well, I am more than happy with my first ever go.  I know I will more than likely try it again soon.  Its a great way to use up scraps and all the gorgeous products.

Challenge: BRADS OR EYELETS?????

Today is the day I set a new challenge for the fortnight.  Life here has sent us some interesting turns this past fortnight.  So, I needed to catch up and get something created for this.  BRADS, won.  That is what I ended up using.  The eyelets I had, just did not seem to suit the layout.

Hubby was super excited about being offered the opportunity to ride this vintage BSA 1915 motorcycle, in the Bay to Birdwood 2012. He even went out and purchased the helmet and goggles just for the occasion.  It turned out to be a very good family fun day.  I have quite a few photos, that I would love to scrap from the day.  Glad to have the 1st layout done.  I will just add some journalling to finish it off.

Lovin the NEW MARKERS

Oh, boy am I having fun with the new alcohol markers. I'm a lot like a kid in a candy store lol. So many beautiful colors. And they match all our essential 12x12 paper range. The makers have a pointed end and a wide chisel end. Nice and easy to hold. And they glide beautifully on our papers.

The three cards below are not entirely finished. I just had to show you all the coloring in. I am sure you are going to see a lot more colored images from me.

Carpe Diem Configuration Box

This was a complete joy to make.  I loved every process.  A masterclass, with great techniques.  Fun eclectic box.  Every box has a surprise.  Highly recommend this masterclass.  This masterclass was created by Genevieve Payne.  Cost per person is $70.
I am loving the new embellishments.  They really add that "Little Something" to your creative fun.  They look fab on cards, layouts and off the page projects.  So many uses.

WELCOME 2013

Well, here we are again at the beginning of a new year.  I would have never guessed that after so many years I would still be here creating and sharing the creative love.  It has been an almighty journey with lots of twists and turns.  And thanks to lots of encouragement and support I am planning on continuing my journey for as long as life allows.

Time is always a factor when creating.  Our little family is getting busier with the kids joining more clubs and hubby still being a volunteer for the SES and me, well, me being a house mother, and a wife and a creative monster.  I will still continue to share on here as much as I can (hopefully more than last year).  I still have my facebook page and post on there whenever I can. (probably more than on here) SORRY.  I will try and fix that.  It just means getting my mind set into posting in two places.  It came to my attention recently, that some of you do not have facebook accounts and prefer to find the info out here.  So I will take that on and do my best to post more

On to exciting news.  Kaszazz has just released a new range of papers and stamps. Carpe Diem - Seize the Day.  It is an interesting collective range.  Both masculine and feminine.  Great combination of colours.  Our latest Team Training Day (in the past week), had us making a beautiful feminine shabby chic, configuration box created by the fabulously creative Cheryl Devlin.

I have had interesting reviews from customers over this release.  And I am extremely happy to show them the creative ways it can be use.
To see for yourself the release, drop me a line or comment and I am more than happy to post you the latest release.  Or if you are in a hurry to see the release click here  http://www.kaszazz.com/3d/jan13/
I will be back soon with more creations using this great release.  Until then.  Stay creative and have fun

Red, Food and Ribbon Challenge

When, I set this challenge, I had no idea what I was going to do.  Then shopping for groceries, I found a packet of red velvet cake mix.  Ummmm, kids and a cake packet.  That might work......

Well, as you can see from the pic, that did not happen.  My sister and I needed to get some pics printed of the Bay to Birdwood run our families did a couple of weeks ago.  While hunting through those pics (and getting them ready to print), I started looking through other pics and these fruit cake pics jumped out at me.  Needless to say, they were my new inspiration.

The papers used are from Kaszazz's new Christmas range of papers.  These were released at the last Team Training Day in September.  Where we had a beautiful roast lunch and this cake.  I can honestly say it was the most amazing fruit cake and it was seriously, full of real fruit.  Pineapples, peach, figs, cherries and sultanas.  And nuts.  Perfect combo.
