new challenge

Our latest challenge was to create something using the color combination below. And if possible make it male  related and use stickles.  It took me a long time to decide what I was going to do.  Today, it just came to me.  I was actually setting up for a class when the inspiration hit.  Bad timing.  But never the less, I made an effort to get it started before the ladies turned.  If Ido not get the ideas out of my head as they hit, they seem to get lost and never return like I imagined.      So glad I finished this one.  It has turned out better than I imagined, with some help from the ladies.  Circles seem to be in at the moment.  They are on a lot of creations I have seen lately.  They were perfect for this photo.

Customer Request.......

One of my beautiful customers came to me recently, and showed me a copy of Cardmaking with Paper Sculpture.  This magazine, has some stunning creations by the master sculptor Greg Sukendro.  Truly inspirational works of art.  Betty, asked if we could have a go at making some with all Kaszazz products.  So with great eagerness, we set out to see what we could do.  By no means is our card as wonderful as Greg Sukendro's.  However, we were really pleased with our finished results.  This one little card took just over two hours to complete.

For each of the 42 stunning creations, there are instructions and templates.
Until next time, have fun creating!!!

Peacock Colour Challenge

This fortnight's challenge was to create a project (anything we liked), that was in the colour scheme of a peacock feather. The idea was given to me while looking through a fab colour site www.design-seed.com They have these beautiful combinations.

I wanted to try a combination. Out of my comfort zone. Something that I would not normally choose to play with. Boy, did I get that with these colours.

Rustic Silhouette Christmas Cards

I had some quiet time this afternoon, while all my boys were at a working bee for SES. I took the time to create these set of cards for a wonderful group of ladies that attend my workshops Monday afternoons. We are doing Christmas cards once a fortnight until Christmas.
I have been hanging out to really play with the new silhouette stamps. They are just beautiful.
So, with this uninterrupted time on my hands, I sat and stamped and created to my hearts content. A few hours later, I was quite impressed with the finished cards. These will be going in my pile of "please write up and submit". Just give me a little time to do this. I have three projects going in this week and I am holding 4 workshops this week too.

Have fun creating. Be back soon. With more to share.

Watercolor Paper

Finally Kaszazz is selling watercolor paper.  Those of you who know me well, know I have been using watercolor paper for years.  Now, I can use it and share what this amazing paper can do.  I have created a set of cards using embossing, distress inks, distress markers, stamps and the blending tool.  I have had a ball.   Love the effect this paper gives to stamping.  You get such a clear image on watercolor paper.  Here is the set of cards.  There are many many many layers of ink and blending to get the final results.  Two of the cards have glossy accent over the top to give the flowers a more lifted look.
